Welcome to the family blog. This site was created as a way for us all to keep up to date with each other thru pictures and stories. Please share your pictures and stories with us all, because history is happening as we speak, and I for one dont want to miss a thing...
Well, another year has come to a close. I wish I could say that I accomplished everything that I wanted to in 2009, unfortunately, it feels I only grazed the expansive list. Every year we make resolutions, promises to ourselves for changing something..."this is the year I will lose weight", "this year im going to be more organized", "this year I will accomplish (fill in the blank)". In years past I have always said the common resolution to lose weight. Well I did start to eat healthier and joined the local fitness center and started working out in August. I have managed to lose about 20 pounds so far. I think the key with me is to drink more water and cut back my caloric intake while exercising. I have been doing this zumba class. It a latin based dance class, and let me tell you it is so much fun. You burn about 700 calories in an hour class. It kicks your butt, but I feel so good after doing it. I also made a promise that I was going to get a sprinkler system redone and sod back in the front yard, I never realized how much I have missed having a lawn. Well early in march I decided to pay to have the sprinkler system installed. I was going to do the installation myself but decided to save the time and pay someone else to do it, and I am so glad I did. A couple of months later in may we purchased sod and installed it ourselves. It was a full days labor but the results made it so worth it. I also wanted to finish remodeling the guest bathroom. We stripped the vanity and restained it in a dark mahogany color. We took out the old sink and counter and installed a solid surface sink and counter top. Along with a fresh coat of paint on the walls, a new light fixture and new hardware on the cabinet doors, it looks very nice if I do say so myself. I did a texture with 4 different colors on the base of the walls and installed new floor boards and chair rails as well. So much fun, I love home improvement projects. There were several more things I had on my 2009 list. We wont mention the rest tho because, well, lets just say I did not get to them. Maybe this year, heehee. I have to say that we have had a very nice past year. We went to see Uncle Tom and Aunt Mae in Colorado over memorial day weekend. We did an art sale at Uncle Tom's shop and had so much fun, even if we got drenched trying to dodge rain drops. I am looking forward to doing it all again this year. We took my mom for a ride up to Flaming Gorge on a saturday and another ride up to Bear Lake, making a pit stop in Idaho for lottery tickets of course. I have been so lucky to spend a lot of time with my mom. I really enjoy the moments we spend together. In October Syrena and Leman came to visit. Leman brought his sweet baby boy Leman Jr.. Such a happy baby. While they were here we had a Halloween party. A bit more rowdy than I expected we had quite a turnout of people. But it was so much fun. Im looking forward to seeing them again hopefully soon. Well this turned out to be a long winded post, Hope it does not bore you:) Guess thats what happens when its 4 months in between posts huh. So in closing I say "Goodbye to a 2009 full of great memories; Hello to 2010 Great things are to come Im sure". Love you all and I wish you all the best in the new year.
I didn't research to make sure this was true, but it doesn't hurt to share just in case.

Hello Everyone, Well it's been a very active spring and summer so far. Let's see, since my last actual post was in March, I will begin with April. We spent most of the month working on the guest bath, fairing the weather and treating the front yard for weeds so we could lay sod. We finally laid sod in May. It was delivered on a saturday and we spent the entire day laying it in the front yard and back. It looks so nice. I love it, having grass again is such a treat. The following week after laying the sod I went with Mom and Bobby on vacation to see Uncle Tom and Aunt Mae in Colorado. They were having Territory Days and we decided to have an art sale and display it in the front of Uncle Toms shop on Colorado Avenue. It was a blast dodging rain drops, oh who am I kidding we were dodging buckets full of water being dumped on us. We put up an awning and displayed the art under that. Uncle Toms beautiful paintings, some abstract art that Bobby and I had brought, I also brought some photography pieces and Mom contributed some of her beautiful poetry. It rained every day we were there, it was so crazy. I made the suggestion to set up everything inside on the final day and just post a sign out front for an "ART SALE TODAY". It worked out much better and we decided to leave all the art displayed at his shop. I understand that you sold two of your paintings Uncle Tom? That is so awesome, congratulations!! Here's to many more yet to sell.
Here are some pictures from our Colorado trip.
And Uncle Tom as I promised here are the beautiful paintings you have given me that I am so proud to display on my mantle. Sorry it has taken me so long to post this. I love you!!!
And my latest addition right above the computer desk:
So it's been a while since I posted last, haven't even logged in or looked at anyone elses blogs lately. Just been too busy I guess. Well lets see, whats going on in my world lately? Hmm... where to begin...We started the remodel work in my guest bath. Tore out the sink and counter top, sanded the cabinet and stained it. Hope to stain the doors and over toilet cabinet sometime this week. I have a terrible case of Spring Fever and Im terribly impatient so I decided to pay someone else to redo the sprinkler system in the front yard, rather than doing it ourselves. I figured it would save time and effort even though I knew it would cost a bit more than doing it on our own. Well they finished up on friday so now all I have to do is lay sod. Yeah!! For now the front will be a muddy mess but at least we can just start with treating the soil for weeds and hopefully we will have a nice green lawn with in a couple months. Crazy to think its been almost a year since the water line broke. If I had more money flow I could have paid to have the yard re-done last fall. Oh well, time makes us appreciate what we miss, right? Things have slowed down a little at work. Im just thankful to have a job period. The economy is taking a toll on just about everyone. Being in the automobile industry does not help much. At least until now I had not noticed any decline on the repair side here but its now starting to show the effects. We keep hoping for it to turn and head back up soon, as is everyone else. One week from today and I will be in Vegas Baby!!!WooHoo!!! We are meeting Syrena and Eddie in Vegas and Im so excited I cant wait. It will be a blast. I am so in need of a great vacation. I think vacations are important for everyone. I hope you all are able to get away at least once or twice this year. Take some time for a little "R & R", you deserve it!!! By the way, Spring starts tomorrow!!! YEAH!!! Love you all.
Ahhhhh!!! I can almost breathe. I dont know if this is because of the inversion or the fact that my year end tasks at work are almost done or if its because I think I am almost over a cold that decided to drop in around christmas eve and stay longer than welcome. Between work and home and fighting with a cold its been a bit busy. I have thought about posting on the blog here for a while now but somehow never got that burst of energy needed to lift my fingers to the keyboard when I get home from work. I blame this partly on the fact that they are glued to the keyboard all day at work and as badly as I may want to make them type an entry at home, I am afraid they are more strong willed than I have been. So I have been thinking about a New Years Resolution for 2009. I think I have decided to call it "2009 the year thats all mine". Sound selfish? I know huh. Let me clarify... I have decided to take this year to do things for me and for my pleasure and benefit. I am not saying that I will not continue to do for others too, just that I hope to make time for myself and not let other things get in the way of having "me time". I plan to finish some projects with my house and yard, and I plan to go on several vacations. First one of which is in March. Zach and I will be going to Vegas to meet Syrena and Eddie. I am so excited, it will be so much fun. Next trip is to Colorado, to see Uncle Tom and Aunt Mae for Territory Days over Memorial Day Weekend. And Lastly, we are planning a trip to Oregon in June, to do some fishing and beach-combing. We found a few vacation rentals for a really good price on the coast. As for my house projects, I purchased new cabinets and sinks for my bathrooms and I plan to re-tile the master and paint. Then sand the current vanity in the guest bath and re-stain it. Then, of course there is my yard, ugh...I plan to install a new sprinkler system in the front yard and install sod. Then I plan to build a new fence for the veggie garden, so that I can have a garden this year. My final part to my resolution is to focus on my mind body and soul. Sound a little cliche, I know, but I feel so out of tune with "ME" that I feel as though this is necessary. I am hoping by posting this here it will force me to hold up to my promise to myself and follow through with everything.
My list is long, so wish me luck. I will hopefully get to posting the xmas pictures here on saturday.
My love to you all, and best of luck with your resolutions for the new year!!!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for this coming New Year. It has been a busy holiday season and I have not posted much for a while. But I have lots of pictures and I will work on getting them loaded here soon. Our christmas was wonderful. I got up early and picked up Mom and Bobby and brought them to my house for the day. The snow had started early but let up some where near the middle of the day. We opened presents and ate turkey for and early dinner. Then played with our new toy, Zach bought us a Wii for Christmas along with Guitar Hero. We had so much fun bowling before we knew it, time had passed so quickly and it was 6 pm. On my way taking Mom and Bobby back home, the weather was just rainy and it seemed like it was going to melt all the snow away from the earlier storm. Sometime after I got back home it must have started to snow heavy and there were several inches on the ground and it was hard to even see across the street by the time we went to bed. Crazy weather, perfect holiday!! We always wish for a white Christmas and this year Santa made sure we got it, and then some;)
My love to you all Please share your Christmas photos and favorite Christmas memories with us.
So, it has kind of become a yearly ritual for my mom and me to head out in the wee hours of the morning the day after Thanksgiving, to brave the crazed crowd of "Mad Shoppers". The past several years we have been fairly successful in getting a few good deals. This year however, was not so successful. We had browsed the ads the days before and though not much had grabbed our interest, we still planned to get up early and see if we could get a few things on the Walmart ad. When we got to Walmart, it was packed, as usual. I expected nothing less. People pushing and shoving to get where they wanted to be, and grabbing the items they were compelled to go for. Lines were already backed up for every register and everything that we wanted was gone. Complete insanity~!@#$~$#@! Just to save a few bucks. I'm thinking next year the whole shop on line at 12:01 thing sounds really good. I hope everyone had a perfect Thanksgiving, complete with all the trimmings and love. Here's to non-stressful Christmas to come. Happy Holidays!!!

So, I am in on the whole Twilight craze. Was not able to get tickets to the movie opening tomorrow night, but plan to go this weekend. First heard about it at the beauty salon where I was getting my hair done. Was so intrigued, I bought the first book and began to read. I was hooked with the first chapter and now my mom is reading it too.
